The big wide world of marketing can consist of 1000’s of things, from radio, television, print, digital and a whole lot more. At SEO Traffic Lab, we focus all our efforts on the digital side of our clients’ marketing strategy. After all, the world is slowly going “online”, so their online presence is more important than ever.
Our core services are split into two departments, PPC and SEO, but don’t let these 3 letter acronyms which are spoken about constantly within the industry put you off. At SEO Traffic Lab, we like to keep things simple and transparent.
I am an avid account manager, managing a mix of our SEO clients, both local and national. My main responsibility is looking after our clients, making sure they are fully up to date and understand which strategies we are working on to improve their Organic presence online. SEO is not just about getting on page 1 for your desired terms, but also the whole website experience for the user. It’s like walking into a shop which looks nice on the outside, and then the interior is dated and the products are not what you expected.
I like to compare an online presence to an actual physical presence. Being on Page 1 of Google is like having a store on Oxford street in London, but the difference is, getting on page 1 is much more achievable for SME’s than it would be for them to have a store in the prime location in the UK. But this comes with its downsides, Oxford street holds 300 stores – the big world of Google has millions so competition can be very steep – this is why you NEED to make sure you’re following an effective SEO strategy to set yourselves apart from the competition.
The first thing we do as an Account Manager is to fully understand our clients’ objectives and why they have approached us. Every e-commerce business wants sales and every B2B business wants more leads, but there’s more to it than that. We need to ask the following questions, and make sure the client understands:
- What are your goals and are they achievable?
- What’s the history of your digital marketing and do you have previous data we can analyse?
- Who are your main competitors?
- What’s the latest trends within your industry?
Internally, as a team we then Educate ourselves on your website and marketing as much as we can, kicking off with a Site Quality Audit (part of our SEO RECIPE).
From the Educate section of our Recipe, we then plan a strategy and next steps and begin to create the assets you need. This allows us to put in place a fully bespoke strategy for you as well as prioritising any quick wins.
Case Study – One of Our Clients
One of our Local SEO clients approached us for 2 reasons, they wanted their rankings to increase on Google to increase footfall into their shops and cafes and they also wanted more online footfall to their eCommerce store.
After undergoing the Educate section of our RECIPE, we then started to create assets and undergo keyword research as part of one of their goals, increasing rankings. For their desired terms, their rankings moved up a collated 976 positions on Google since August which naturally brings more website traffic, especially to their “shop” section of their website.
Above is just one example of how we have helped our clients achieve what they want through their digital marketing.
